Pharoahe Monch Preps Album For Winter Release

Pharoahe Monch is currently gearing up for the release of his long awaited sophomore album titled Desire.
The album, which will be Monch's first release since his critically acclaimed solo debut,
Internal Affairs, will be preceded by the single "Push".
Monch will be shooting a
video for the song today (August 17) in Green Point, Brooklyn, NY. The clip is set against the backdrop of the massive power outage that took place in New York in 1997.
In the past two years, Monch had been in the middle a lengthy bidding war and signed with Steve Rifkind's SRC label,
early this year.
Rifkind has a history of breaking underground acts like
Mobb Deep, Big Pun and The Wu-Tang Clan, among others, via his now-defunct Loud Records. His current SRC roster includes Jae Millz , Remy Ma and Akon , among others.
Desire is scheduled to hit stores this winter.
