SoulStice and Haysoos Form Wade Waters

Chicago’s been getting a lot of love lately from the hip hop community. With established acts like Common and Kanye making big moves and newcomers like Lupe Fiasco and Rhymefest ready to bust down the door many people have turned their attention to Chi-city as the new breeding ground for quality hip hop music. SoulStice is no exception. The Chicago native, who holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering and a government position in department of defense, is also a master on the mic. After re-releasing the full length LP North By Northwest earlier this year SoulStice is now preparing his latest endeavor, Wade Waters: Return of the Kings. The album is a collaboration with Maryland resident Haysoos, who previously collaborated on the smash underground single "Rock Solid" (w/Cuban Link of the Terror Squad). Return of the Kings also finds SoulStice reconnecting with frequent collaborator and Halftooth Records artist, Oddisee, who lends six soulful tracks as well as North Carolina’s master beatsmith 9th Wonder. Look for the album to drop on Raptivism this fall.
