Kashmere Stage Band Sales Skyrocket After NPR Feature

The weekend after National Public Radio did a feature on the re-discovered 60s & 70s funk group the Kashmere Stage Band, sales for the LP skyrocketed. The first weekend of August, after the feature was played pushed the sales of KSB to #10 on Amazon.com Top Sellers (Alongside Gnarls Barkley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, and ahead of Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, & Thom Yorke!). Pretty good for a band who has received no commercial radio or video play. Check out the below link to listen to Egon and Kashmere Stage Band director Conrad O. Johnson (now 92 yrs old) talk with David Brown from NPR affiliate station KUT in Austin, Texas about funk, jazz and DJ Shadow.
