Thirstin Howl The 3rd Returns With The Newness

Ever since I almost got jumped two years ago at Rocksteady for my vintage Polo T-Shirt by one of the Lo-Lifes, (which actually wasn’t vintage and I had copped earlier in the month from Filenes), I knew that the Lo-Life camp was not to be f*cked with. Thirstin Howl, like the Rakim joint, ain’t no joke. Believe it or not, he’s on his 7th solo LP. The new one is called La Cura and is being sold as an all “Spanglish” LP. According to Howl’s press release, the album brings “that hard, grimey, Brownsville Brooklyn sound with some latin spice”. The album features some heavyweights like, Hurricane G, Tony Touch, Block McCloud, and Don Dinero. In addition to the new album the Skillosopher is also dropping a new DVD entitled, The Polo Rican Movie. The DVD description definitely makes me a little curious, but also a little cautious; “A dramatic, comedic, musical journey with Thirstin Howl the 3rd as he escapes the ghettos of New York for the hood in Miami. He makes enemies on both sides of the law and is bullied by his Big Cuzin who’s always checkin’ up on him”. The movie is also set to feature women being kidnapped and big guns. Cop.
