Nicolay Readies New LP

Unsatisfied as a band leader and multi-instrumentalist with a decade of experience performing alongside the likes of Boyz II Men and K-Ci & JoJo, Dutch multi-instrumenalist Nicolay started producing hip hop in 2000. Shortly thereafter, he came across Phonte Coleman of Little Brother through the Okayplayer message boards. The two soon began trading tracks and rhymes back and forth over instant messenger, until they emerged with one of the most cohesive and innovative albums of 2004, The Foreign Exchange, and the appropriately titled album, Connected. In 2006, Nicolay presents his long anticipated debut album, Here. Gearing up for his future move to the States, Nicolay takes this album on a musical journey; with collaborations from hip hop artists in St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Texas, L.A., and of course, North Carolina. Already destined to be a future classic, ‘Here’ is overflowing in great artistry and musicianship, songs and production. To download a preview track entitled, “I Am The Man”, click here
