Pharrell Invades NYC's Times Square

A humbled Pharrell waltzed into NYC's Virgin Megastore in Times Square yesterday evening (7/25) as hundreds of eager fans awaited his arrival. With the streeteam holding up signs and blowing whistles to alert passerby's of the new album, the line of fans that went around the block exuded excitement and anxiety. Pharrell's new CD In My Mind hit stores yesterday.
Inside,
DJ Absolut from New York's Hot 97 was spinning all the hottest Pharrell joints to keep the crowd amped while they waited for the man of the hour. With posters of a cartoon Pharrell plastered on every wall and all the TV screens playing various Pharrell video's it was clear who folks came out to see.
A very punctual Pharrell showed up right at 6pm after appearing on
MTV's TRL right across the street. His arrogant persona perceived in the music video's proved to be only for entertainment purposes. Pharrell didn't hesitate to give fans hugs and smiles as he signed the CD they just bought in support of his new project. Girls cried and screamed and the boys gave pounds to a man they admire and respect. With that baby face, Pharrell could have been easily mistaken for one of his younger fans.
