Dead Prez and The Outlawz "Can't Sell Dope Forver," Combine For Collabo
The Outlawz and dead prez have just joined forces to release Can't Sell Dope Forever, which hits stores next Tuesday (July 25).
On the heels of M-1's solo album, Confidential, and Outlawz's Against All Odds, the two groups have united to record the collective album. Outlawz's Young Noble assures that the CD is a group effort rather than a compilation.
"We got a mutual respect for each other and we got a common message, just off inspiration," Noble told SOHH exclusively. "[We're] trying to get these youngsters something to listen to other than the normal shit. So it's definitely just not a compilation. We're like a super group right now."
Can't Sell definitely won't mark the last time this new force unites. According to Noble, he and Sticman of DP are slated to release an LP entitled Soldier to Soldier on October 3rd and a second collaboration between Outlawz and DP, Banging On The System, will drop in the near future.
Noble also confirmed rumors that the One Nation album recorded by Tupac Shakur, Boot Camp Click, Outlawz and others, may finally be released in its entirety. To date, Pac verses taken from the recording sessions have been placed on various posthumous Pac releases.
In related news, dp will be hitting the stage in Virginia late next month at the Black Freedom Weekend's Happily Natural Day Festival.
