Rev Run on Newborn Daughter's Death: "Acceptance is purifying ... "

Hip-Hop icon and Run-DMC co-founder Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons recently revealed that a hospital-room funeral service was conducted for his newborn daughter, Victoria Anne, shortly after she died.
As previously reported, the rapper's wife, Justine, delivered the baby girl via c-section at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ on Tuesday (September 26). The child died a short time later.
Justine was pregnant with Victoria throughout much of the second season of the family's MTV reality show "Run's House." The sex of the baby was left as a cliffhanger on the season finale.
Run divulged to the New York Daily News that the service was attended by a funeral director and a bishop in his ministry, ZoeMinistries.
"Right there in the hospital room, "explained Run. "Bishop E. Bernard Jordan prayed over the baby and gave a sermon. The funeral director came, too. That's how we did it. We prayed for acceptance. It's painful, okay? But you don't get mad at God. Acceptance is purifying."
According to TMZ.com, the baby girl reportedly emerged with some organs outside the body. The site also claimed that MTV cameras were inside the hospital at the time of the birth, but it is still unclear whether they were in the delivery room.
Russell Simmons , Run's older brother , who talked to the Daily News two days after Victoria's death ,
discounted TMZ.com's report about the baby emerging with some organs outside the body, but revealed he was 'sure' that MTV were there during the birth and that the show will have to deal with the tragedy.
