Police Make Three Arrests in Jim Jones Concert Shootout

Last Friday night ( September 22) Virginia Beach police arrested two men in connection with the shooting that occurred after a Jim Jones party in the early hours of Friday morning. Police arrested a third suspect last night (September 25).
As previously reported,
one man was killed and several people were seriously wounded on Friday when gunfire erupted in the parking lot outside the Miami Restaurant and Lounge.
According to reports from Virginia Beach
NBC affiliate WAVY, Virginia Beach Police say they arrested two Norfolk, Va men on Friday night for their involvement, 27-year-old Verlon A. Romain and 29-year-old Andre B. Roberts.
Romain has been charged with one count of malicious assault, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Roberts has been charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. As of yet, no charges related to the fatality have been filed.
Last night a third suspect, 19-year-old
Ciara Vander, was arrested on one count of malicious assault.
Six people were wounded and a seventh, 23-year-old Lance Hyman, was killed in the incident Friday. Norfolk news station WVEC has reported that the three suspects identified in the case were not involved in Hyman's death.
