Swizz Beatz Producing Global Peace Tribute Song for UN International Day of Peace

Grammy Award winning producer Swizz Beatz will lend his talents to the United Nations International Day of Peace by producing a multi-artist global peace tribute song. The track, which will debut Sept. 21 at the International Day of Peace Concert, is the first of many phases in a full-scale global peace campaign. Established in 1981 by member governments of the United Nations with a UN General Assembly resolution, the International Day of Peace is devoted to "commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and people." The day provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations and nations to create practical acts of peace on a shared date as well as mark individual and collective progress toward building a new culture of peace. The two-hour taped television concert will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Day of Peace and air live on one main stage while taping artists from their respective countries on stages around the world. Proceeds from the event will be donated towards a nonprofit peace initiative. For more information on the concert, visit www.Internationaldayofpeaceconcert.com.
