Slain Michigan Rapper Accidentally Shot By Acquaintance?
The family members of slain Michigan rapper Young Kee, of The Skanbino Mob, have revealed that he may have been accidentally shot by one of his own acquaintances.
As previously reported, Young Kee (born Marcus Mosley) was shot in the head and then dropped off on the front porch of his aunt's house in Flint's north side early Monday morning (July 31). Two days earlier, Skanbino Mob founder, Bone Skanless (born Dieon Smith) was killed outside his mother's house in a drive-by shooting.
According to The Flint Journal, a woman who identified herself as one of Mosley's aunts but asked not to be named, claims her and other relatives have received apologies from callers who told them Mosley wasn't shot intentionally.
"We're relieved if it's true that Marcus wasn't killed by enemies," she said. "But he's still gone, and we'd like to know the truth."
She also divulged that the callers say they can't and won't come forward for fear of trouble with the law.
Since his death, Mosley relatives have refused to identify themselves when speaking to the press because of fear of retaliation.
Authorities declined to comment on the claims made by Mosley's aunt. They have also refused to say if there is any connection between Smith's and Mosley's murder.
No arrests have been made in both murders, but police have impounded the car that matched the description of the vehicle used in Smith's shooting.
Two weeks before Smith's slaying, his nieces, NiYauna and Teaunna Jones, were shot while riding in the back of car being test-driven by relatives. NiYauna died from her wounds, but Teaunna has recovered. Three suspects have been charged with Jones' murder.
