DJ Khaled & DJ Drama Win Big At Beef Free Ozone Awards
DJ Khaled and DJ Drama were the big winners last night (August 6th) at the first annual Ozone Awards at the Carr Auditorium in Orlando, FL, while Chamillionaire, UGK, Lil' Wayne and Three 6 Mafia also all took home trophies.
David Banner and Trina served as the night's hosts. Surprises abounded as a freshly cut Ludacris popped up with Shawnna for a rendition of her "Gettin Some" remix while Lil' Wayne, who didn't appear to accept his Best Lyricist Award, closed the show with a surprise performance.
Winners included the aforementioned Khaled, who took home Best Rap Collaboration for "Holla At Me" featuring Lil Wayne, Paul Wall, Fat Joe, Pitbull and Rick Ross, and Best Club DJ. DJ Drama also took home two trophies: Hustler Award and Best Mixtape DJ. Three Six Mafia won Best Rap Group, Chamillionaire won Best Video, UGK won Legend of the Year, Young Joc won Club Banger and Young Jeezy took home Mixtape Monster.
Twista, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, Paul Wall, TV Johnny, Lil Jon, Dem Franchize Boyz and Young Dro also won awards while Killer Mike, 8Ball and MJG, Ray Cash and Smitty presented.
Minus a few confusing moments, the majority of the soiree took place without a hitch. Throughout, lesser known artists like Yola the Great and Lil' Boosie, drew responses that nearly equaled that of the dirty's biggest names. The ceremony also remained peaceful despite appearances from feuding artists. Jacki O, sitting only a few feet away from Khia, attended with a bodyguard sporting a shirt that read "Fuck Khia."
Meanwhile Trina recently released a record dissing the thug misses and B.G. among others.
