T-Mobile's Sidekick 3 Selling Out of Stores...Before They Even Arrive
As the highly anticipated Sidekick 3 prepares to hit stores, the demands have already exceeded T-Mobile's projections, according to sources.
After months of rumors and speculations, T-Mobile's Sidekick 3 was made available to T-Mobile users earlier this week (June 28). Privileged music industry types and celebs like Just Blaze, who is seen playing with the new phone on his myspace page, were able to get their hands on the gadget even earlier. But, with a street date slated for July 10th, T-Mobile costumers are rushing to the phone in hope to secure the trendy device.
"The demand already has exceeded the projections," Guy Lapena, T-Mobile's North New Jersey Dealer Development rep, told us. "It's actually to the point where employees are not allowed to get the phone. It's not even in stores yet and the demand for the upgrade is just incredible right now."
Only two stores worldwide presently offer the upgrade: a T-Mobile retail store based on New York's Madison Ave and another located on Los Angeles' Wilshire Boulevard.
Current users can also log onto the company's web site or call T-Mobile's costumer service in order to upgrade their current plans and purchase the phone. With a faster internet connection, blue tooth, a 1.3 mega pixel camera and an MP3 player, T-Mobile reps are confident that the new Sidekick will commercially eclipse its predecessor.
