Project Pat Shares "Crook Tales"
After dropping his highly anticipated Crook By Da Book: The Fed Story earlier this week, Project Pat is giving fans the opportunity to have their stories of run-ins with the law told to the world through a contest exclusively featured on SOHH.
The "Crook Tales" contest encourages fans to send in their individual and unique accounts of their own encounters with the law or law enforcement for a chance of having Pat himself re-tell their story on video exclusively on SOHH. Those who have their stories chosen will not only get the opportunity to have their side of the story told but will also win a copy of Project Pat's new CD along with additional promotional items from Sony Records.
Hoping to steer fans away from some of the mistakes he's made in his own life, Pat is hoping that the contest and his new album will catch the ears of those who may think that the street life is all glitz and glamour.
"Being locked up really made see another side of the game clearer," Pat said. "All I've got to say to these young guys is that you can't win. You can't win in the streets and I always knew that. My dad used to tell me that but now I really see it. Knowing that and having been locked up means that I can get into more detail on certain things. I can add another layer to the cake."
Pat's latest album, which is executive produced by Three 6 Mafia's DJ Paul and Juicy J, hit shelves on December 5. The record is the Memphis MC's fourth solo set and first since being released from prison in late 2005. Promising his fans more of the same flavor that they've always received, Pat is looking to continue the recent success that the Hypnotize Minds camp has enjoyed as of late. "I'm still coming with all the different styles I've always had," he said. "I'm keeping it straight Memphis Dirty South, keeping it straight me."
Lead by the single "In the Projects," the album features guest appearances by Lyfe Jennings, Young Jeezy, Mr. Big and Three 6 Mafia among others.
Crook By Da Book: The Fed Story is in stores now.
