Joss Stone Commissions Raphael Saadiq For Third LP

British soulster Joss Stone opted for a funkier, younger shade of soul by handing the production reigns for her as-yet-untitled upcoming album to Raphael Saadiq.
Saadiq's resume includes D'Angelo's Grammy Award-winning
song "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" as well as collaborations with The Roots, Macy Gray, Kelis, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and Earth Wind & Fire. Most recently, Saadiq worked on Mary J. Blige's The Breakthrough.
According to Billboard.com, the set, which was crafted at Bahamas' Compass Point Studios, includes tracks like "Headturner," "Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now," "
Music," "Tell Me 'Bout It," "Nothing Better Than (The iPod Song)" and "I Wish I Never Met You."
Mind, Body & Soul, Stone's critically-acclaimed sophomore set, sold over 1 million copies, according to Nielsen's SoundScan.
In other news, Stone will make her big screen debut in the fantasy
film "Eragon" based on the novel of the same name by Christopher Paolini. "Eragon" opens in theaters on December 15.
