Marc Ecko Recruits Unique Autosports To Redesign Nissan SUVs

Marc Ecko has recruited Will Castro and Unique Autosports to help re-design Nissans' flagship SUV's -- the Nissan's Pathfinder and Nissan Armada. The announcement comes on the heels of Ecko's recent deal with Nissan North America, Inc., in which Ecko will incorporate his custom designs into the popular trucks. "As a devoted fan of Unique Whips, I immediately thought of Will and his team when the Nissan opportunity arose," Ecko said in a statement. "It is my intent to take the shared design heritage of the Pathfinder and Armada and, through the skill and craftsmanship of Unique, add my own bold twists to create something truly extraordinary." The designs will reportedly feature motifs that were inspired by Ecko's ecko unltd. and Cut & Sew clothing lines. "Growing up on the LES [Lower East Side of Manhattan], I saw a lot of graffiti artists," said Castro. "Marc had some really good ideas of what he wants in a car and we were just the right shop to make it happen." Millions will see the new partnership materialize when it debuts next year on the silver screen as part of the Speed cable network program, Unique Whips. Centering around Castro's Autosports car-customization shop, Unique Whips focuses on the world of celebrity car customizing. The third season is set to premiere in February 2007.
