G-Unit rep Lloyd Banks recently showed love to his Queens alma mater and made a $10,000 donation to the school.
Banks recently visited his old stomping grounds of August Martin High School in Jamaica, Queens to speak with students and to make a sizeable donation to his former school.
The platinum-selling MC spoke to students and offered words of encouragement, stressing the importance of both education and perseverance to an attentive crowd of young fans. The $10,000 donation that Banks presented to the school will be used to purchase new equipment for the school's library.
In related news, Banks' long awaited sophomore set, Rotten Apple, will be hitting store shelves everywhere today. The rapper will will be signing copies of his CD today at FYE on 51st Street and 6th Aveunue in NYC at 7 pm.
