Update: Details Emerge Following Shooting of T.I. Affiliate

Over the weekend more information emerged about the Cincinnati shooting following a T.I. and Yung Joc performance that claimed the life of T.I. affiliate Philant Johnson.
Last Tuesday Johnson was killed and Janice Gillespie, Ronald Hausley and Elijah Edwards were injured when an unidentified vehicle opened fire on two vans carrying T.I. and members of his entourage.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution spoke with a grieving T.I. - who along with family members and friends remembered 26-year-old Philant as a kind and giving individual.
T.I., born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., had been a friend to Johnson since nursery school and as adults the two rarely left each other's side, since Johnson worked as T.I.'s personal assistant. Johnson who recently purchased a home with his girlfriend just outside Atlanta, is survived by a 6-year-old daughter, Janae. T.I. is scheduled to speak at his friend's funeral services this afternoon (5/8) at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Although record label reports indicated that Tip would resume his tour by tomorrow 5/9, T.I. told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution he wasn't sure.
"I don't know if I'm going to be in New Orleans Tuesday. It's hard to say. Because there are so many things that Philant would be doing that ain't going to be able to be done now."

Drama dedicated a weekend XXL column to Johnson, paying homage to his friend while speaking out about the senseless violence that claimed his life. Drama, who was present at the Cincinnati club where the dispute reportedly began also refuted the claims that the incident was sparked by money being thrown from the stage. "No one in either our camp or Joc's camp threw any money at anyone. That is a lie," Drama wrote.
When asked about the incident at the club that preceded the Cincinnati shooting, T.I. told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "That foolishness was not worth even discussing. That's not what matters."
In related news, the Cincinnati Enquirer has reported that police presence has been heightened in that city in hopes of preventing any retaliation for the killing. Cincinnati Lt. Col. James Whalen told the Cincinnati Enquirer the department received credible information from Atlanta-area law enforcement officials, Cincinnati-area residents and covert operatives stating that people from the Atlanta area are in the city looking to avenge Johnson's death. He urged anyone with information to call 911 if the situation is urgent or to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040 or (888) 352-3040.
