A Man Killed at NY Hip-Hop Club, Three Others Wounded

A man was killed and three others wounded following a shooting outside of the Opus 22 Cafe and Lounge in New York last night (May 24).
According to police, a bouncer is suspected to have opened fire on four men following an argument in front of the
hip-hop/r&b lounge. The bouncer then fled the scene.
One victim, a 25-year-old Puerto Rican man, was pronounced dead on the scene while the three others, all twenty-something, were wounded and taken to hospitals. Police says one was in critical condition while the other two are in stable condition. Police searched for the suspect for hours before cuffing a 30-year-old man in connection to the incident in Brooklyn this morning.
Witnesses outside Opus say the dispute began when several partygoers of an ending function, an open mic night, refused to leave to allow a second party to start. The incident reportedly took place at around 11 p.m.
According to the club's website, Opus 22 held "Afterlight Tuesdays," a weekly after-work party featuring hip-hop, R&B and
reggae music from 5 to 11 p.m. The site also says DJ Self was slated to spin for a second party starting at 11 p.m.
