Lupe Fiasco Reloads After Album Leak

Lupe Fiasco the up and coming Chicago-born emcee was mad a few weeks back. His album had leaked, songs were on the radio and internet. The video was on television networks, but Lupe wasn't even sure if the album would see light of day. Now, after taking time to compose himself, Fiasco spoke to Nobody Smiling about the whole ordeal, making it clear that he has not given rap up. Actually, the leak has somewhat helped the rapper. With critical acclaim, he's been compared to some greats."You know, I went from being the skater nerd/wannabe Kanye/wannabe Pharrell dude to like oh he might be the next Nas-Z. You know what I’m saying like Nas-Z. You know Jay-Z Jones or something like that," he said of the talk after his album Food and Liquor was leaked. Later the rapper went on to explain that the leak was nothing like the retail version of the LP. He added that stars like Jill Scott, Jay-Z and Kanye West were not included in the leak, but will be heard on the actual album. Recently, Lupe was on David Letterman's show with Kanye West. Currently, the rapper has a mixtape (Lupe the Jedi) out. Look for his album, Food & Liquor in late June.
