PlantLife In The Lab

For those that ain’t up on PlantLife yet they are literally one of the most exciting crews to come out of the L.A. hip hop scene in recent years. Consisting of Jack Splash (vocals), Panda One (instrumentation, vocals), Dena Deadly (vocals), and Rashida (DJ), the group fuses hip hop, funk, psychedelic soul, and jazz to deliver an audible buffet of sound to the listener while conveying a lyrical message far left of the mainstream rap which permeates the airwaves. The crew is releasing a new album this summer entitled, Lovers, Dreamers, and Believers and the early hype around this release is that it is nothing short of groundbreaking. To commemorate the release of the new LP Counterflow Music Group (PlantLife’s Record Label), is planning a special edition re-release of PlantLife’s critically acclaimed The Return Of Jack Splash LP, complete with a bonus DVD featuring tour footage and live performances. If that wasn’t enough, be on the look out for The Heart Attack, a super group consisting of PlantLife’s lead vocalist Jack Splash and the legendary Cee-Lo Green, emerging later this year.
